WooCommerce low-stock emails vs an external stock watch

Built-in alerts may already meet your needs.

WooCommerce has stock-management and low-stock notification features. If they alert the right person at the right threshold, you may not need another runtime.

When a separate digest helps

A store with many variations may prefer one periodic list with SKU/category filters, threshold overrides and fewer reminders for an unchanged issue. That is a narrower added benefit than claiming WooCommerce cannot alert on stock.

Check the data model

A parent may manage shared stock while a variation has its own quantity. Null or unmanaged stock is not zero. Backorders, external warehouses and reserved stock require explicit rules. An external digest does not fix inaccurate source inventory.

Keep a human decision

A list of low items is a prompt to review stock and replenishment. It is not a sales forecast, purchasing system or stock synchronisation.
